Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn it on. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn it off. If the device is unresponsive, press and hold for 7 seconds to force a shutdown.
Can I take photos or videos without a memory card?
No. The device does not have built-in storage for photos or videos. Please insert a microSD card before capturing or saving any media.
What functions does the touchscreen provide?
The touchscreen shows the live viewfinder and system status, including Wi-Fi, battery, and microSD card indicators. You can tap or swipe to access system settings, recognition history, and your photo and video gallery.
What do the indicator light colors mean?

Is AI recognition always accurate?
No. AI recognition cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. Results can be affected by distance, lighting, image quality, motion blur, and visual obstruction.
Under what conditions does AI recognition work best?
It works best when the bird is clearly visible and unobstructed, occupies 20%~40% of the frame, and the image has good lighting with minimal motion blur.
In what situations might AI recognition fail or show "Uncertain"?
This may happen when the bird is too small in the frame (2%~3%), the image is blurry/shaky/backlit, or more than 50% of the bird is blocked by leaves or other objects.
Why does the AI sometimes give multiple possible results?
This can happen with juvenile birds, differences between males and females, seasonal plumage changes, or very rare species with limited training data. Results are for reference only.
Can AI recognition results be used for scientific research?
No. AI recognition is intended for reference and educational purposes only, not research-grade identification.
How do I connect the binoculars to my phone?
Enable Wi-Fi in the device settings to view the network name and password. Open the Solvia App (iOS 15.0+ or Android 7.0+), tap Connect, and follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I transfer photos and videos to my computer?

Select Reset to Defaults in system settings to restore the device to factory configuration.
How long does the battery last and how can I save the power?
Solvia ED 8×32 battery life is up to 12 hours under standard use (about 4 hours with heavy use); with the Field Kit, it extends to up to 24 hours under standard use (about 10 hours with heavy use).
You can extend battery life by lowering screen brightness or enabling Auto Power-Off in system settings.
How do I update the firmware?
Make sure the battery level is above 20%, connect to the Solvia App, and tap the update prompt when a new version is available. The update usually takes about 3 minutes.
How should I maintain the device during long-term storage?
Fully charge the device before storage and recharge it at least once every three months to help maintain battery health.
What are the most important safety precautions?
Never look directly at the sun or strong light sources. Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the device yourself. The device is IP64 splash-resistant, but it should not be immersed in water or used in heavy rain.
Can children use this product?
The product is not suitable for children under 3 years old. Older children should use the device only under adult supervision.
What does the warranty cover?
From the date of receipt, if the product experiences a functional failure under normal use and without user-caused damage, it is eligible for free repair or replacement within the applicable warranty period. Warranty coverage is as follows: Optical system - 5 years. Main unit (including electronic components and software) - 1 year.
Accessories such as the neck strap, carrying case, and lens covers are not covered under the standard warranty. If an accessory has a quality issue upon receipt, you may request a replacement within 7 days of delivery.
